Search Tips

Sample searches:

cancer AND biology

Use AND between two or more terms to find materials with all the concepts.  Searching for cancer AND biology will only include books that have both cancer and biology in their contents.
(apoptosis OR "programmed cell death") ANDcancer

Use OR between similar concepts.  Searching for (apoptosis OR "programmed cell death") AND cancer will find books that refer to cancer and programmed cell death, as well as cancer and apoptosis.
"pulmonary fibrosis"

Use quotation marks ( " " ) around specific phrases such as "pulmonary fibrosis."
biolog*

Use an asterisk ( * ) to find multiple versions of one word.  Using biolog* as a search term will include results that refer to biology, biologic, and biological.
